Day 5
Subject: [firstname] Here's how to get traffic to your squeeze page

Hey [firstname],

As promised, today I want to talk about traffic. Getting traffic to your squeeze page is the beginning of your sales funnel. It doesn't matter how persuasive your copy is, how compelling your offer is, or how value-laden your freebie is; without traffic pouring into the top of it, your sales funnel will wither and die.

A good way to get traffic to your squeeze page (especially when you're just starting out) is to use solo ads.

Solo ads work like this

You contact the owner of a mailing list in your niche, and ask him/her to send an e-mail promoting your offer to those list members. You will (of course) pay them to do so. The e-mail gets sent, people visit your squeeze page, sign up to your list, and get drawn into your sales funnel.

There are a number of reasons why solo ads are so successful. First and foremost, they're highly targeted. The people on the mailing list are all in the niche you're targeting, so they're going to be interested in your free offer. It's not like taking out an ad on radio or TV where everyone is going to see or hear it, but only a tiny proportion will actually be interested and respond.

Secondly, because you're tapping into someone else's sales funnel, the e-mail will be coming from a trusted source and is likely to get opened. If it were coming from a complete stranger (you), it would probably be regarded as spam and ignored.

To find list owners, just to a search for [your niche] solo ads and you'll find plenty of list owners who are open to this.

You can also use social media to drive traffic, and include a link to your squeeze page in your sig. on niche forum sites.

Avoid AdWords, though. Google won't let you use AdWords to drive traffic to a squeeze page anymore, and will shut down your account if you try and use the service for that purpose.

[Your Name]
